Hankyu Maroon is a Sailor made ink exclusive to the Hankyu Department Store. Hankyu Department Store, which separated from the Hankyu Railway Company in 1947, is a department store whoβs main store is located in Osaka. It has further stores nearby and in other cities further away but the only place to buy these inks is from within Osaka, I believe. There are 5 inks under the Hankyu Brand: Wakaba, a light green; Sumire, similar to a light Imperial Purple; Kurikawa, a rich brown; Hanaasagi, a rich dark teal; and this, Maroon.

Ink Comparison: Carpink set of five sheening inks Part Two
This is Part Two of the Ink Comparison: Carpink set of five sheening inks. Part One here!
I was generously gifted a bottle of Carpink Prussian Blue and Shigoku in July last year. I knew nothing about the brand and Iβd, in fact, never heard of them but the inks were super sheeny and that always piques my interest! In December last year I was gifted the full set for the purpose of review (the benefactor would like to remain anonymous but was a store; this store is not a sponsor of this nor do they sell these inks; I did purchase other inks from the store). It is a set of five inks: Black Square, a sheeny black; Deep Space Green, a sheeny teal; Electrooptic Violet, a pink violet; Prussian Blue, a super sheeny blue; and Shigoku, a sheeny dark purple.

Colorverse inks are new to the scene inks from late 2017 and early signs were pretty interesting so I took the plunge and bought three of the inks. I was told by Colorverse (who were very helpful!) that the Season 2 "Astrophysics" inks were the sheenier inks so I naturally gravitated towards them. Quasar is indeed from this second season of inks (Season one was "Spaceward" and the latest, Season 3, is "Multiverse"). I went in with high hopes for these inks and I have been blown away. Granted, I've only inked two different bottles but I'm loving them.
