The Serendipity Hybrid Pen is a collaborative pen between James Finniss of Pensive Pens and Robert Oster. The Serendipity is a hybrid between a dip pen and a fountain pen where it functions without a filling mechanism and only operates with whatever ink is in it from dipping the pen. Because, however, it has a standard #6 nib and feed it will hold a lot more ink than a dip nib, even one with a reservoir. Lake of Fire is a new ink in the same colour family as Fire & Ice from Robert Oster's new line of InkArt inks. It came bundled with the Serendipity pen for the first 50 purchasers (but won't be released until later in 2017 on its own).

Ink Review: Robert Oster Signature Ink River of Fire
While Robert Oster Signature Ink's Fire & Ice isn't going to go anywhere, River of Fire hopes to be the successor to Fire & Ice's crown. Like Fire & Ice, River of Fire has a great name and a border of sheen. I picked up Organics Studio Nitrogen Royal Blue late last year and it is one of the most astonishing inks I have ever used. The sheen on this ink is like nothing else, the name of the ink is odd and the for some strange reason the ink just gets everywhere but I'm willing to overlook that given the absurd levels of sheen that this inks makes.

Robert Oster Caffè Crema is a relatively new ink that I knew I'd like the moment I saw an early-batch swatch of it. Lovely yellow brown that first reminded me of the crema of an espresso - the foamy layer that sits atop a freshly brewed espresso. I mentioned this to Rob and he came up with the name Caffè Crema which suites the colour nicely.

Robert Ostster's Kada Kada FPA Light & Dark are two ink made for the Fountain Pens Australia Facebook group. After two rounds of choosing colours that Robert would base the ink off, the group chose "Kada Kada" with the colour hash code of #270567 and after that I worked with Rob to come up with this ink. The name Kada Kada means "Story" in the local (to me in Fremantle, Western Australia) Noongar language. And the hash code was chosen because it is the date (27/05/1967) that Indigenous Australians were afforded constitutional rights.
